La Vall d'Albaida
“La Vall d'Albaida” is a natural and historical region located in the Valencian Community, also known as Vall Blanca due to the color of its lands. It is located in the south of the province of Valencia, marking the border with the province of Alicante. La Vall d´Albaida has a Mediterranean climate.
34 municipalities are part of the Vall d'Albaida. The region has over 85,000 inhabitants and Ontinyent, with over 35,000 inhabitants, is the capital of the region. Ontinyent has also been selected as second most safe city of Spain Textile tradition, agricultural and breeding activities, artisanal tradition such as waxing, winemaking, sausages, cold cuts and the preparation of sweets, etc are part of the activities of this region.
It offers also a rich and wide gastronomic offer, beautiful natural, artistic and cultural places.
Practically every month of the year several festivals are celebrated in its cities and in August many of them celebrate their “Moros y Cristianos” festivities, as well as sports or adventure activities, which will delight the traveller.
